WATERLOO INSTITUTE OF SOCCER AWARDS CEREMONY
 

Waterloo Institute of Soccer Players (WISP) held its Annual Awards Ceremony on Saturday 5th May 2012 at Ato Boldon Stadium as part of its weekend activities which started on Friday 4th May 2012 with a Football Fiesta for the Preschool players and continued to Saturday and Sunday with Youth Football Clinic, Coaches Education Workshop, Sports & Fitness Fair. Over 300 players participated in the three day Soccer Clinic.

The feature address was given by the Mayor Orlando Nagaser who stressed on football as an exercise for good health.

 

The players awarded were:

National U17 Girls (2010)- Shalette Alexander, Victoria Swift and Keri Myers

National U17 Boys – Garvin Samaroo

National U20 Boys- Ryan Fredericks, Donnelly Gopicharan

Mr. Lennox Watson, President of the TTFF presented them with their awards

 

Medals were presented by Mr. Bryan Layne, President of the CFA to the Players of the Cap Off Youth U-13 teams for placing 2nd in the TTFF National Youth League

Tokens were given by Mr. Dhanraj Saroop, Councilor of the Couva, Tabaquite, Talparo Regional Corporation to the players of the U10 team for placing 1st in the Nations cup Tournament in Florida.

 

Coaches Certificates were presented to Parents and Coaches participated in the TTFF ‘F’ License and the Preschool Training Program.

Special Awards were given to Mr. Michael Davis for Youth Football Coaching, Mr. Leslie Hoyte for Sports Education and Mr. Bryan Layne for Football Administration.
 

Appreciation Awards were given to the SPORTTS and to the five (5) US ( Trinidad Born) Coaches namely Kendell Walkes, Anthony James, Kendell Reyes, Derek Arneaud and Andre Fortune.
