WATERLOO INSTITUTE CELEBRATES 10 YEARS WITH AWARDS & APPRECIATION  FUNCTION

 

 

 

 

On Saturday 18th January 2014, Waterloo Institute of Soccer Players held an Awards and Appreciation Function at Waterloo Secondary School Auditorium to celebrate its 10th Anniversary.

79 players in the Under 9, Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 & Under 17 age groups were awarded Medals and Trophies.

Among the Stakeholders at the Function were the Member of Parliament, Couva North Ramona Ramdial, the Chairman of the Couva Tabaquite Talparo Regional Corporation, Henry Awong, the Councillor, Allan Seepersad and the President of Central Football Association , Mr. Byran Layne.

45 Appreciation Plaques were presented to Stakeholders, Corporate Sponsors, Past Executives and Current Executive of the Institute.

WISP President, Mr Raymond Jurawan in his welcome address indicated plans of the Institute in 2014 to introduce a classroom Literacy Program and to travel  abroad on tour.

CFA President, Mr. Bryan Layne delivered the Key Note Address citing that the Institute during its ten year history have produced over fifteen (15) National Players at all youth levels and congratulated the Institute for such a successful performance.

Both the Member of Parliament and the Chairman of the Regional Corporation in their acceptance speech pledge to continue to work with the Institute by providing the necessary infrastructure so that the institute will continue its youth football development in the area.
