At its end of year function at Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva on Saturday 14th December 2015, the Executive and members of Waterloo Institute of Soccer Players took the opportunity to recognise the accomplishment of two of its players having obtained National Scholarship on their results in the 2015 CAPE Exams.
WISP President, Mr. Raymond Jurawan proudly introduce both Miss Chelsea Radhay and Mr. Satesh Ramkesson as players who have represented the Institute well in the field of play and highlighted that these National Scholarship winners will be a benchmark for other players to follow.
He continued that the main objective of Waterloo Institute is the holistic development of the player and stressed that apart from football training the Institute had introduce in the classroom, SEA Maths and English class which is free to all our players between the ages 8 to 10 years. These classes are on Saturday morning from 8.00 to 9.15am followed by football training at 9.30am.
Miss Chelsea Radhay joined the Institute as a form One (1) student of Couva East Secondary and attained an Additional Scholarship- Environmental science in the 2015 CAPE Exams.
Mr. Satesh Ramkesson joined the institute in 2003 as a six year old and captained the U-11; U13 and U15 team. He attended Presentation College, San Fernando where he obtained an Additional Scholarship-Natural Science in the 2015 CAPE Exams.
Dunstan Williams Soccer Academy, Miracle Ministries U14 and Deigo Martin Secondary girls were invited guest teams at the end of year function. Santa was present to distribute toys to all the U9 players donated by Fair & Square Super Store. Free Refreshments were sponsored by Hakim Hosein Construction Co limited.
