WATERLOO INSTITUE OF SOCCER PLAYERS ELECT NEW EXECUTIVES FOR THE TWO YEAR TERM 2010 to 2012
At the Annual General Meeting of Waterloo Institute of Soccer Players held on Saturday 21st May 2010 at Waterloo Secondary School the following members were elected to the Executive Board:
Mr. Raymond Jurawan – President
Joyclyn Palmer - 1st Vice President
Mr. Stephen Bartholomew- Past President
Ms. Patricia Granderson - Secretary
Mr. Ramnarace Samuel- Treasurer
Mr. Bryan Layne, President of the Central Football Association officiated over the election of Officers and all Offices were elected unopposed.
The new executive then appointed the following Vice Presidents to the Board:
Ms. Nimrala Boodoo- Fundraising & Sponsorship
Mr. Leslie Hoyte- Education & Training
Mr. Mozack Rahamut- Equipment & Uniforms
Mr. Wayne Wills- Discipline
Ms Michelle Williams- Assistant Secretary
Ms. Tracey Benjamin-Antoine- Assist. Treasurer
Mr. Brian Layne then recognized the outgoing President, Mr. Bartholomew for his commitment over the years to the development of youth football in central and for establishing WISP as a successful organization.
He then welcomes the new President, Mr. Jurawan as Principal of Waterloo Secondary School and now President of this community based organization to take over the meeting.
Mr. Jurawan thanked the members for the confidence expressed in him and assured them that soon he will be retiring as Principal of the School and will be devoting his time as WISP President to take the Club to the next stage of progress.
Corporate T & T partnering with Waterloo Institute of Soccer (WISP) Holiday Football Camp
The Community based Holiday Football Camp organized by Waterloo Institute of Soccer Players for two(2) weeks from August 8th to 19th 2011 at Waterloo Secondary School, Waterloo Road, Carapichaima have being getting support from many
Corporate Citizens.
On Wednesday 10th August 2011, former National Player and Captain of the 1989 Strike Squad Clayton Morris was the Guest Coach of the Camp. Mr. Morris an employee of PETROTRIN was given the time off to impart his football experience and to conduct coaching sessions
It was also an exciting day for the fifty (50) odd campers who were greeted by Mr. Ginger, the KC Confectionery Mascot and were individually given packets of assorted sweets.
Universal Foods also distributed over 200 boxes of cereals to the players and Kiss Baking Company will also be providing pastries such as Goodies. Other companies are also committed to give tokens such as water bottles and promotion items.
President of the Waterloo Institute, Mr. Raymond Jurawan indicated that the Camp was a last minute initiative of the members who had preregistered their children for the Annual SPORTT holiday camp. We are catering for boys and girls ages 5 to 15 years from the primary and secondary school in the area and are please wit
h the response from the Corporate T & T.
The Camp runs from Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm and Waterloo Institute extends an open invitation for Companies to visit the Camp and to distribute product samples to the players.
